Schools
Students living in West Ranch will attend schools in the Friendswood Independent School District. Friendswood ISD has been rated as an Exemplary district for 2009 by the Texas Education Agency. Students currently attend Cline Elementary, Windsong Intermediate, Friendswood Jr. High and Friendswood. Each of these schools is currently rated Exemplary by TEA. In addition, funds were approved in 2008 for a new junior high campus to be located adjacent to West Ranch.

Shopping
Friendswood is conveniently located minutes from Baybrook Mall, an indoor shopping mall with anchor stores Macy’s, Dillards and J.C. Penny. Retail stores such as Kohl’s, Babies R Us, Sports Authority and Sam’s Club area also located nearby. In addition, the area offers many restaurants and specialty stores. Houston and Galveston Island’s historic Strand District with shops and restaurants is also minutes away via Interstate 45.
